TSGS Meeting Tonight - 6:30 PM

The Tri-State Genealogical Society will meet tonight at Willard Library in the Bayard Room.  Notice the time is at 6:30 PM  this is earlier than usual and is the new time selected by our members for us to start our meetings.  There will be a brief business meeting conducted by President Don Counts followed by a discussion led by Larry Goss "Traveling at 33 RPM in an IPad World!"  The society is looking at "going digital" with our quarterly journal and making the move to archiving digitally.  Technology is rapidly advancing and we need to get on the boat before it will be too difficult to catch up!  Larry is very knowledgeable in this subject and wants to answer questions and discuss options the society (and any organization) have to better serve our members and the genealogical world.

Most of us are struggling to understand how to best use these electronic devises and abilities... this is an excellent opportunity to get a better appreciation of what is happening in communications and data storage.

You do not need to be a member to attend and this discussion should be of benefit for any kind of organization.  Come and ask a question!  There will be an attendance prize given at the end of the meeting.

I will not be able to attend, as I will be at the Posey County 4-H Awards Banquet presenting the TSGS 4-H Genealogical Award Certificate to a young 4-H'er.  The award is in honor & memory of Glenda K. Trapp.

John G. West, TSGS Vice-President
