Evansville Fire Department
Hose House #14...

one of 2 fire stations scheduled to be closed this year - near St. Benedict's School, Memorial High School & University of Evansville (not far from The Little Sisters of the Poor Nursing Home).
It is the primary responder to my home, too. Was to be closed on Jan. 1st. - but, is still in operation after all of the protests... but one day they will quietly close it.

Evansville Fire Department...

Hose House #10

This is one of two Fire Stations in the news late last year and were scheduled to be closed. It is one of the larger "Hose Houses" (as they are called) and was erected & dedicated by this plaque in 1977.

This is the old station that it replaced. It sits boarded up just across the street from the newer one.
Someone designed and created this emblem that is on the wall next to the certificate awards that the fire fighters that work out of this house earned over the years.

Hose House #9...
is one of Evansville's newest fire stations located on Keystone Drive.

It was built in 1989, just north of Morgan Avenue & east of Green River Road.

A very large "9" helps to identify this building, perhaps the smallest in size.
The fire fighters proudly fly the U.S. flag out front of the building. It looked very beautiful the morning this photo was taken!

Evansville, Indiana Fire Department
Hose House #8
Dedication Plaque

Each of Evansville's Hose Houses (Engine Houses, Fire Stations) have a dedication plaque like the one above... many also list the City Council members, as well. I believe this is the oldest Hose House at this time - it was erected in 1955.
