Has Your Family Talked About This?

Your family may have talked about this situation concerning the re-location of a loved ones burial.  This may sound morbid or foolish, but many families move from "home" and want loved ones buried where they live today.  There are many reasons why a family may want to do this as this article suggests.

Joy Neighbors blog site is one of my favorites - A Grave Interest.  This article is called "Remains of the Day - Relocating a Body."    She points out all of the things that are involved, plus cost considerations for each.  She does make a great suggestion to consider as a possible alternate solution.  Great article and a great blog!

"A Blog Worth the Visit"

'

I really enjoy visiting...
the blog "A Grave Interest" mostly because it features cemeteries & tombstones with lots of photos. The blog master, Joy Neighbors, writes some very interesting blogs that are "worth the visit!" She uses the "visit" term for the cemeteries that she will highlight in her blogs from time to time. She featured Evansville's Oak Hill Cemetery that I reported in the TSGS Cruiser Blog http://tsgsblog.blogspot.com/2011/11/review-of-oak-hill-cemetery-on-internet.html .

Today's blog is about visitors leaving small stones at the graves of those they respect & love. Another one of her blogs that is very much worth the visit is "Undertaking Death" http://agraveinterest.blogspot.com/2012/02/undertaking-death.html

I highly recommend Joy's blog to follow.

Review of Oak Hill Cemetery on the Internet

'

Joy Neighbors posted in Indiana Pioneer Cemetery Restoration Project (INPCRP) on Face Book:

This month's Cemetery Worth the Visit is Oak Hill located in Evansville, Indiana. Gorgeous landscaping, sculpture and lots of tree stones!

This is a very nice historical look, as well as, nice photos of cemetery. Did notice that several times the name was Oak View instead of Oak Hill... our local cemetery is always worth a visit, but this blog about the cemetery is worth taking a look at! - JGWest
