TSGS News

.
Next Regular Monthly Membership Meeting is this Tuesday 10 Nov 2009 at 7:30 PM in Willard Library... upstairs in the Genealogical Department.

10 Nov 2009
6:30 p.m. Individual Research Assistance
Bring your information!
7:30 p.m. Regular Meeting
"Probate Records, Guardianships, Estates, Etc." - Bettie Cook, CG
Discussion Groups: "Boundary Changes" - Mary Lou Bevers
OR "DNA Testing" - John G. West
.
Have you wondered where to find some of that documentation or "proof" for your family history? Bettie Cook will discuss some records that will prove your lineage and the type of information you can get from the listed records above.
Why are boundary changes of much importance to genealogists? How can you find out if your county had changes in its size?
I will lead a discussion concerning genealogical DNA testing. We will stay away from all of the technical jargon that speakers get caught up in... we will just talk about what testing results can tell you or not tell you.
.
John G. West, TSGS President
