U.S. Post Office ~
New Harmony, Indiana...
This post office was established in 1816 (the same year that Indiana became a state!).
One hundred fifty years later, a new post office building was built with this commemorative stone marker in 1966.TSGS meets the second Tuesday monthly (except July & August) at Willard Library. We are dedicated to genealogical education & research. Since we are located on the Ohio River, our members' quarterly journal The Tri-State Packet is named after the Packet line that carried cargo along the river. This Blog is an update to that river traffic with our "beefed-up" TSGS Cruiser!
