"The Day the Music Died... 50 Years Ago"
For us "Baby Boomers" today marks the 50th. Anniversary of what has been called the "Day the Music Died" due to the deaths of three legendary "Rock & Roll" performers: Buddy Holly, Ritchie Valens and J.P. Richardson ("The Big Bopper"). They were killed in a plane crash on Feb. 3, 1959. Here is a link to some very interesting material on this plane crash and other history surrounding Rock & Roll: http://www.fiftiesweb.com/crash.htm - JGWest
